Financial Policies
The Smiling Turtle Pediatric Dentistry requires payment, in full, at the time of service. This amount will be collected from the responsible adult who accompanies the child at the time of service. In cases of divorce or separation, the adult bringing the child to the appointment is responsible for payment in full for services rendered that day.
For Our Families Utilizing Their Dental Benefits
Your dental benefits policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. This means that your family has agreed to the terms and conditions with the insurer regarding the coverage and payments for your dental care. The Smiling Turtle Pediatric Dentistry requires that patients utilizing their dental benefits pay their estimated co-payments, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts, at the time of service, when applicable.
Our Office’s Role in Insurance Claims
The Smiling Turtle Pediatric Dentistry strives to provide the best care for your child and the best possible assistance with your dental insurance. As a courtesy, filing dental insurance claims is a service that we offer to help facilitate the insurance reimbursement process. Our office’s network-status with an insurance company, our assistance in filing insurance claims, or any guidance in an appeals process does not imply accountability, in any way, for the decisions or payments made by your dental insurance carrier to our office.
Insurance Member’s Responsibilities
As a patient, you are responsible for understanding the specifics of your insurance plan: This includes but is not limited to:
•Your insurance is a contract between you and your insurance provider.
•Active Coverage: You must know whether your child has active coverage.
•Network Coverage: It is your responsibility to verify the network status of your plan.
•Accurate Insurance Information: You need to supply accurate and up-to-date insurance information before your appointments.
•Plan-Specific Inquiries: Any questions related to the details of your insurance plan and coverage should be directed to your insurance company directly.
•Non-Covered Charges: You are responsible for any costs that your insurance plan does not cover.
•Payment at Time of Service: Co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles must be paid on the day services are rendered.
Limitations of Our Responsibilities
The Smiling Turtle Pediatric Dentistry is not responsible for understanding your specific insurance plan. We cannot guarantee what dental services will be covered by your insurance plan, and we cannot guarantee what your insurance plan will reimburse for any services.
